I would be experiencing grief without having the name for it and would be relying on the same
like patterns of alcoholism that ran in my family.
Or I would be clinging to rigid systems that provided answers, which I think is honestly like what we are seeing now in real time is like we have this like collective
pain and this trauma and this grief from the COVID area and prior and immediately after and nowhere to place it and very little language for it and very little permission given to the masses to like actually meet the grief and process what happened and like be able to create
a life and identity on the other side of it.
And so I believe that's part of the reason we are seeing like
I know you could talk for hours about like the the trad wife all right pipeline, but that's why there is so much attractiveness in it because there is certainty.
There is definition, there is answers, there is like
safety within boundaries, even if logically you're like, Mm, I don't know if this feels good, but it feels good to not feel
that pain and sadness and grief and suffering and to have an answer or a finger to point or a
you know, person to blame that's outside of like this very real, very painful internal struggle.
