And so I I got sort of distanced from visual art for a while and then
In the last few years I came back and
I realized it it was actually a p a particular piece of art that I saw.
I came across this painting of a
Like a twelve year old girl.
And she was sitting on the ground and her knees were up and she was holding her knees and she was looking up.
and it was painted in a very expressionist style.
Her uh her face was a long oval
her hair was kind of long and she was looking up, her eyes were looking up in this particular way.
And she just looked so um
sweet and innocent but also scared and you look at her and you can sense that she's looking back at you and she just wants to know that she's okay.
Like she just wants to know that she's okay.
And it's it was a it was the way and her body was elongated.
It's all it's hard to even put words to exactly the way that she was rendered.
in this abstract way was so emotionally evocative in a way that a photograph never could have been.
And then I realized that
There there's just a way to paint things that
that photographs can't can't access that that the slant, like painting it with a slant with certain style or a certain color pattern.
Mm-hmm.
