I don't remember the younger one, the younger one.
I think he's around 10, but he comes by in order to come into the room and Timothy Hudson won't let him in the room.
He makes them sit outside.
He says he's changing his clothes.
He won't let him in.
And then he waits in the hallway for a couple of minutes.
He goes in and then he ends up spending the night in that room and sleeps on the bed with his sister underneath the bed and not knowing that she was deceased.
Right.
So not only does the defense say that there's gaps in this investigation and the forensics, they also questioned the FBI's lead case agent about whether DNA was ever collected from injuries on Kepner's neck.
And the defense also highlighted that the medical examiner made no determination about whether the person who sexually assaulted Kepner was the same person who killed her.
So, yeah, I knew they were going to.
That's what their defense is going to be.
Like it was consensual and someone else could have murdered her.
But the surveillance video is going to show that she goes in the room.
She never leaves the room.
Because the crime occurred on the cruise ship with multiple people nearby, the defense is expected to argue that the prosecution can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Hudson was the one who strangled her.
I don't know how they're going to get past that.
I don't know how they're going to try to plant reasonable doubt that someone else was able to enter that room at some point.
