Wow.

All right.

So the way I understand it is she loved to travel the world.

I think she'd spent like a summer camp in Hawaii.

She'd also been a foreign exchange student, I believe, in Venezuela or something like that.

So she was quite the traveler at such a young age.

Then she starts Cal Poly.

San Luis Obispo and I believe that she was having a hard time wanted to come home wasn't really making friends and felt kind of isolated and alone oh so we get to May of 1996 this is Memorial Day weekend 30 years ago so on May 24th Kristen attends an off-campus birthday party near Cal Poly this is Memorial Day weekend so most of the students are gone

She didn't go home.

She talks, it's not her roommate, but it's a neighbor in her hall, in Muir Hall, into going out with her to a party because she knows that she needs to try to acclimate more.

She's making an effort to be social.

So she talks Margarita into going to a party with her.

They end up going to a party and I believe the first place they go to isn't really much of a party.

It's just like a couple students and they're playing video games or something.

Which, in retrospect...

yeah she probably might have been better she probably doesn't always have to be a big raging party right so then she goes from that party to another party with her friend margarita okay the next party she goes to is where i don't know if she drank or if she took a drug or if someone slipped something into her drink but this next stop that she makes margarita doesn't go with her margarita wants to go back to the dorm rooms and tries to talk her into going back to the dorms

So they both leave one party to go to another.

But Margarita says, no, let's go to the dorms.

And then they separate.

They separate.
