All right, the case is being prosecuted in federal court because we've talked about this before.

This happened in international waters.

So that makes it a federal case.

That means that there is no state that has jurisdiction.

That's why this case is so murky.

And that's why this judge, I don't think he knew what to do with Timothy Hudson because they're not used to having minors in the federal system.

So throughout this whole process, he's never been incarcerated.

Well, normally state courts deal with minors and they're equipped to deal with minors and they have facilities for minors.

They have practices in place.

of age adults right so now you have this minor who's 16 years old who's going through the federal court system prosecution moves to have him detained because he's been he's now being tried as an adult he goes before a federal judge recently and the federal judge i don't think he knows what to do with him so that's what we're going to get into so they go to court recently and the prosecutors outline their key evidence and this is the recent hearing so basically the

You know, prosecutors get up and they say the reason that he needs to be detained is because of all these things that occurred.

So surveillance footage shows Timothy Hudson and Anna Kepner entering their shared stateroom around 730 p.m.

the night before her body was found.
