And I was looking at every year online for the last few years, especially in the TikTok era, there has been this debate that's called like the active duty debate.

And it's about whether...

Mother's Day is for the mothers who are in the active duty of motherhood, so like young kids in the trenches, or if it's for the mothers who have kind of graduated out of active duty and are now grandparents, et cetera.

Every year, Holly.

And so there's viral videos about how it's Mother's Day, not Grandmother's Day.

And how... Grandmothers are mothers.

I know.

I know.

And there's people being like, I'm the mother now.

I'm doing all the hard work.

People are insufferable.

She doesn't have to do the hard work.

And people being like, once I've coordinated visits with the grandmothers, there's no time left for me.

Yeah, yeah.

So a couple of my first Mother's Day.

This, I think, was emblematic of motherhood generally.
