And I think that's what renewal is to me and this song is to me.
It's like reconnecting with my mom, reconnecting with my grandmother and knowing that they'll always walk with me through these lyrics.
She does get a listen every now and then.
She's probably sick of it.
I think so.
Like, I feel like when, because I knew when I first moved down there, I knew no one, like, except for maybe two or three people and then my in-laws.
And that put me in a really, like, uncomfortable position because I'm a little social butterfly.
Like, when I was living in me engine, I'd be out and about, would be cruising around.
And I think, you know, moving to somewhere where you don't really know your foundation or grounding, it throws you in this uncomfortable position.

I chose this song because for me it was like a moment in high school where I heard it and was like, music doesn't have to be so angry.
I don't have to be so angry.

I don't have to be so, like, yeah, I can just be.
Like, it's such a soft song and it's one of my songs I used to blast before I went to sleep.
Like, I literally used to fall asleep to the song over on repeat and repeat.
It is a lullaby.
