Now, let me give you three takeaways from this episode.
First takeaway.
Depending on your immigration status and the length of your stay, private health insurance may be mandatory or strongly recommended.
Personally, I think everyone should have it.
Second takeaway.
If you're coming through International Experience Canada, your insurance must cover health care, hospitalization, and repatriation for the entire duration of your stay.
For everyone else, at the very least, make sure you're covered during the waiting period.
Otherwise, make sure you have a solid emergency fund.
Third takeaway, health insurance is just one of many administrative steps you'll need to handle.
If you want to avoid gaps, mistakes, and unnecessary stress, getting guidance from a coach who can walk you through the process is absolutely invaluable.
That's all for today's episode on private health insurance.
