absolutely crazy and so i just wanted to write something that felt like my truth and also something that's going to be useful because every woman i know is exhausted has no time and so if you give me half an hour i'm going to give you something back and i want to give you something that's actionable and you can take into your life and be like that was that was good that was a game changer that's something i can use

You're just saying the thing.

Well, that's maybe because I don't know any other way to do it, Fern.

There is no other way.

No, and this is the thing that I want everyone to understand.

You can be ambitious in so many different ways, right?

But ambition to work requires some discomfort.

And so this idea that we're in at the moment, especially in this social media landscape that we have, where we're comfort seeking and we always need to be happy.

That's just not the reality of my life.

And I think that we talk a lot in the culture about these trade-offs, but trade-offs are always things that you wanted to do.

It's not like you get to trade off like all the great things for a bunch of shit things.

No, it's actually all the stuff that you want to do.

And then you've got to figure out like how to fit it in.

And so my experience just tells me that people want to be told the truth.

And at the end of the day, start with yourself.

The book that I've written is about self-leadership.

This is about leadership.

What can I do?

What can I impact?
