I think that that intentionality of being,
Being forthright, being open, saying what you need, what your expectations are, it actually takes all of the crap out of business.
And so I wrote this book, you know, by the way, I wanted people to use, not just to buy and to read.
I was like, how do you create something that is useful?
And it's about self-leadership.
It's about this idea that we can't control what's happening in the world.
We can't control what other people are going to do, but we can control the way we come into a space, the way we behave, the energy we put in.
Right.
And so I think that that is really important and that's important in business and it's important in life more generally.
Just like a white guy.
Here's the thing.
You know, it's really funny because I feel like this.
I mean, to be honest, so many of my teachers have been white men.
Right.
I'm married to a white man.
A lot of my investors are white men.
And in so many ways, you know, early I modeled the behavior that I saw all around me.
I think I'm a really straight shooter.
And I think a lot of that was informed from where I was born.
I was born in East London, which is like the hood, you know?
