I keep referencing the documentary 'cause it it's so front of mind.
But he talks in that about
Part of this process really involved him getting out of his head and back into his body.
So he's like, I need to turn off my thinking brain.
Because our thinking brain is constantly being subject to so many like marketing campaigns and and essentially kind of propaganda and really ask what does my body need?
So he's like, wouldn't it be amazing if rather than eating according to what you felt like, aka what advert you just saw, what sugar craving you had, you ate in accordance to what your organs actually needed.
Also in society in which, you know, we're measured by our productivity, our we're s we're Everything is about
Everything is about output.
And I think when we're obsessed with productivity and we measure our success based purely on what we are kind of putting out, we're not really thinking about what our bodies need and how our bodies feel.
We live in our heads, we don't live in our bodies.
And so I think there's definitely a piece there that is worthy of deeper investigation and that does excite me of like what innovations can come out of this sort of research in this sector that can help us all.
All lead healthier, better lives.
That excites me.
But I think the obsessiveness nature of it doesn't.
I totally resonate with that.
I think there's a lot of wearable technology that is exploiting this newfound interest in health optimization.
Without really educating people about what these data points mean to us.
But we've become obsessed with sleep scores.
Like we know we need to sleep longer, we need more quality sleep.
What's the point in having data every night that it says you had a shit night's sleep and then you're gonna have a shit day because you're gonna be obsessing over the fact you had a bad sleep score?
