So my name's Emma Ricketts and I did the 10k race in Runrygate. It was brilliant. I think Runrygate is my absolute favourite. The people along the race run who are shouting, well done, keep going, you know, they're doing that out of their own time and they're so lovely and smiley and it really helps, you know.

And there's so many wonderful people running for so many different reasons, you know, charities and things like that. And to see their happy faces and people encouraging you along the way. I've had a few jelly babies from everybody up near Woodhatch. They all had jelly babies and I loved that as well. So thank you. And then residents all come out, which you don't get in many runs.

Oh my gosh, yes, so good. I don't even wear my headphones, which says a lot, because I want to hear the music. There was one family near Wood, I'm really shouting out Woodtouch here, they had their stereo on and they were pumping out some tunes and they're all banging pots and pans and they're doing it for the fun of it and to cheer everyone on, which is so lovely.

It really, really does, because I tell you, some of the hills are brutal in Rye Gate. I tell you what, you start the run off and you're going up Cotshot Hill. And you'll think, really? Already? Yeah, we've only just started. And then you get to the end and then you've got another really steep hill up the back of South Park, round the back of Rye Gate.

So you're really doing some interval training up and down hills. So yeah, all of the community spirit is wonderful.

could be worse you know there's a giant hill associated with Reigate you could be running up and down that it could be worse very true very true we could be although you have to say we've got some beautiful scenery as well so actually even though you're going up a few hills it's always past all this lovely scenery and fields and yeah beautiful parts of the town which is why we live here right it's been amazing absolutely amazing
