Goodness me, it's warm.
It's it's interesting as well because it's only very recently in the last few years that in initial teacher training over here that any of the learning science has been formally written into a national offer to say that everybody, regardless of what phase you're going to be teaching, um, there is that underpinning research base now.
And that that's still in the kind of the history of teaching over here is is
relatively new and it's it's quite a similar picture in that I'll go to lots of different places and see lots of different schools, lots of different settings, and there is still not necessarily this universal understanding of the science of learning.
So it's it's getting more well known but it's still

It's more considered a lot of the time through the actual things that you would do rather than the conversation necessarily around the underpinning theory.
Um so it it wouldn't be
It wouldn't be unknown, but it wouldn't be a term that we would use all the time.
Although what's interesting is we've just had a new white paper written to support um
the the new send white paper and there's a whole section in there just on executive function and the importance of executive function.
So I'm hoping that that becomes more common parlance with everybody because of the the inclusion of it specifically.
And there's a really nice little pie chart.
in the in the new white paper that talks specifically about that.
So I do think it's going to become more common, but it's not something that everybody would definitely recognise straight away.
It's fascinating as well because our early years teachers would be very au fait with those terms.
That a lot of the training around um teaching in the early years, so up to the end of the year in which the children turn five, that would be front and center in a lot of training and a lot of conversations with practitioners.
