And so the demand has gone up for them.
And so when demand goes up, as we know, prices go up.
Well, I suppose, first of all, I would say I'm a retailer, I grew up in retail.
And so that's where, you know, our understanding has always come from is that we've all grown up in the industries that we recruit for.
And so, yeah, you're seeing, you know, you mentioned that they still have a healthy lifestyle.
profit margin but I suppose you're not looking at where the profit margin was and what's still to come out of that you know you've seen retailers and you know I think you'd agree over the last number of years you've seen retailers take a lot of those profits and they constantly invest them back in the stores back in communities and so you know
you know, they are squeezing that.
And again, if you look, you know, it's one thing looking at the bigger chains, but if you're looking at local convenience stores up and down the country, you know, there is a question, how do they shoulder these costs year after year after year?
And, you know, that
Oh, 100%.
And so you've seen, you know, I think retailers are some of the most resilient people you'll ever come across.
And so they have rallied quite well in terms of what they're doing to offer different packages to attract talent instead of just getting into price wars with their competitors.
And so they're doing everything from a better work-life balance, you know, and kind of better rotas, better culture in store, progression opportunities, you know, perhaps extra annual leave days.
And so
You know, they're really kind of thinking outside the box in terms of how they can strengthen their packages without just impacting more on their labour costs.
Yeah, so from speaking to retailers, no, they're not seeing an improvement.
And really, the reason they're not seeing an improvement is they still don't feel that they have the support, not just from the guards, but they're looking more, you know, retailers are calling out for, I suppose, more support around responses for retailers.
