Yeah, exactly.

So and I think in this poem, actually, you get that as well, that sense of apartness, like he could be curmudgeonly and difficult.

And, you know, and I think that's fine in a way, because then you read the poems, you go, oh, my God.

I think it was Yeats said that the poet that you meet at the breakfast table, the person you meet at the breakfast table is not the poet at his desk, you know.

So you might meet Kavanaugh.

Well, I never met him, but I would have liked to actually.

He could have been a bit grumpy and, you know, rude.

And then you read a poem like this poem that I'm going to read for you in a few minutes.

And it's got its own beauty.

But at the same time, he is saying, I am separate, I'm apart.

Yeah, I think so.

I mean, the poem that I'm going to read is In a Skein Road, and it's probably known by a lot of people from the Leaving Search.

And I think you're in this poem, you're kind of watching him, watching everybody else heading off to a dance.

And he's kind of, part of him thinking, like, I'm not a part of that.

Maybe I would like to be, but he isn't.

And I think it is the lot of the poet that in many ways you have to be a part in order to write the poems, you know, and that can be a lonely fate in a way.

And I think Kavanagh perhaps was quite a lonely person as well.
