There are a number of side effects.
Your brain, like your nerve, everything can be affected with those medicine.
I can move my limbs, my hands and everything.
But also there are a lot of gastric irritation.
I can't eat anything.
There is a sleep loss.
And there are some issues with the hair, some maybe can change your hair to grey or something like that.
For mine, I had to take the medicine for 23 months.
And fortunately, after I started those sacral line treatments, immediately after six months, there is some kind of progress in terms of, you know, the bacilli, the bacteria.
In the nine and 12 months in between, I was actually smeared negative.
You know, I became smell negative.
That's the big news for many, for my family, for my doctors.
That was like, you know, my second chance in terms of, you know, fighting TB.
I had to, you know, I had to contribute something.
That is how I end up with, you know, advocating for TB, you know, for the treatment of TB.
And I started my advocacy commitment just after those six periods.
recent development for the especially for the last two years we have seen we have witnessed i know there was a tremendous progress in terms of you know fighting tv but for the last maybe two years like for example last
March or February 2025, especially the intervention from the American government, from the Trump administration really impacted a lot, you know, impacted a lot of people.
So the determination of those USAID, the contribution of USAID is really immense, not only for Ethiopia, for many global initiatives, including Global Fund, UNITED and everyone.
So those funding cuts really, really helped our progress in TB.
