It's a tightly interconnected world back then.
I mean, we're talking 1500 BC down to about 1200 BC.
Absolutely.
Late Bronze Age, yes.
Across the Mediterranean, everybody's talking to everybody else.
Definitely.
You can definitely sail counterclockwise around the Mediterranean, no problem.
Like you said, Greece, down to Crete, down to Egypt, and then up around the Levant, and then to what's now Turkey.
Yeah, and upon occasion, you could go the other way as well.
But you can also, if you're over in the Eastern Mediterranean, of course, you can go by land to get from Egypt to Mesopotamia and the Hittites and all that.
So it's a tightly interconnected, I would say, globalized Mediterranean world.
I kind of like that, globalized Mediterranean for its time.
They will, and sometimes they have dual roles.
You can be a merchant and a pirate at the same time.
Yeah, they are.
