Yeah, that's always the possibility.
I mean, we see that in later Greece, so it may have been the case here as well.
We do get some idea that there might be some dynastic succession.
I mean, we've got Telemachus and Odysseus and all of that.
But again, we don't have a record of that in the linear retablets.
It doesn't say that.
It's not that it couldn't have happened.
It's just that they don't mention it.
But we do have that kind of thing over in the Near East.
We do have dynastic succession for the Hittites, for the Egyptians, for the Assyrians, for the Babylonians.
So I would imagine it would be something similar for the Mycenaeans as well, if they're on a parallel track.

What we do get are things like wall paintings in the tombs of the nobles in Egypt, where they're showing a diplomatic embassy bringing gifts to the pharaoh.

I mean, at this time, the Egyptians and the Hittites are the two great powers in the area.
