So um the the the kind of merit of that for the for those who haven't read the book and who want to know the full context of it and without giving away too much.

Is uh essentially what I was arguing was that I think that

Uh, for a lot of uh our you know you know, we're not new moving.

If for a long time people thought that autistic people couldn't hold jobs.

We are now moving toward an understanding that autistic people can work.

Um and you're seeing a lot of companies begin autism hiring initiatives.

You're seeing it with Microsoft, you're seeing it with Square.

I profile the company Square.

Uh the book, I think now it's called Blocks though, but

tech companies.

Uh uh you see this with uh SAP, you see this with uh a lot of um financial institutions and consulting companies like EY and uh UBS and Goldman Sachs.

But oftentimes this um

This classification ignores a lot of autistic people who work in other sectors.

So for example, I don't work in that sector.

I work as a journalist.

A lot of people don't think when they hear that I'm a journalist that I'm autistic, they're like, How could that be possible?

You know, they're y you know, this is a very social.

And this is a profession where you have to interact with people and you have to respect social norms, you have to respect uh customs and you have to constantly interact with people.
