I think thirty two less than she's attempted in competition.
She did try for a two sixty nine and a half, I wanna say at nationals, and she did total six hundred nationals, to your point, Ryan.
So
There is absolutely a world where the it's not just one person totaling over six hundred.
Um, like we saw previously, Amanda Lawrence all uh in most championship events, where she comes back and we have a Ziana on the rise, Carlina coming back and truly filling out the weight class into her true form, and you've got two people who are uh right there on the heels of Amanda Lawrence, and then you've got people maybe off the podium who are actually capable of six hundred and up, so you can't make mistakes.
Second thing I will say is yeah, Jess Bittner, from what I could tell, got called on an elbow depth rule, which is physically impossible.
Like I I she she could not break that bench press rule with a close grip if she wanted to and her feet up.
Okay.
And that is quite frustrating because the one fifteen that she legitimately should have got, if that was the only infraction, unless I'm missing something, would have been a PB, just like her squat was a PB, and it would have set her up to only have to pull two fifty, not two fifty-two.
Which would have actually enabled her, maybe, you know, based upon what she's pulled in the past to actually pull onto the podium.
So her attempt at 252 would have tied Nicolette Ziegler, who was having a rough day on deadlifts, um, and beat her on body weight and actually got her onto the podium in the eighty fours.
And it could have been a story similar to um Evie Corrigan.
But it does seem like Jess is maybe still battling a bit of a recurring
lower back injury that she has.
Um, we did experiment a bit with sumo.
She's actually similar strength to both.
And one of the reasons we thought about it is that sometimes if for people who experience a lot of
lingering fatigue or um recurrent injuries from conventional pulling, if they're even similar in strength, you might end up getting a net benefit from going sumo just because it seems like the stress on the lumbar is a little bit lower over time.
That's what what I did with with Bryce back in the day when he could have switched hit, we stuck with it because he could, you know, sustain more training volume, frequency, and load.
And eventually that's what got him from being a sub
