I think the timeline is interesting, and we'll probably never know the full details of both exactly what was said when and how the tone from the league was different in the trade negotiations compared to in between them agreeing and leaking the news of the trade being completed and July 6th, when theoretically they could have finalized the deal.
well i mean the reason the contract being voided has come up is because it's happened before right it happened with joe smith who signed three one-year minimum deals under the promise of hey big payday coming later uh and you know they stuffed three contracts in a or stuffed a future contract and drawer somewhere and and so like
it's almost the inverse of this situation which is like we'll pay you way too little now to pay you more uh later whereas what the clippers and kawaii leonard are accused of doing is we'll pay you as much as you can and by the way we'll find you a way to pay you extra more for the clippers yeah think about free agents and i believe the 2021 extension was a max extension whereas the 2024
