homeland under siege.
And once a government starts talking that way, it quietly changes who the country is for.
Propaganda doesn't change minds.
It trains reflexes.
Donald Trump is signaling because he wants to normalize this type of rhetoric, both within MAGA, but he also wants the American public to become more accustomed.
It is a way of testing normalization and tolerance in the larger American society.
