I think we can train in negotiating those situations so that we're more skillful and we have a better chance of making the choice we want. matched

It's understanding what is it that's going on inside of me and what could I do differently. matched

So I'll just give a very simple example. matched

I mean, writing this book was really interesting for me because I ended up using so many of the tools in the book to actually write the book. matched

Because it was hard for me. matched

I had more self-doubt about writing this book than I've had anything in a long time. matched

Well, because I get to interview some of the best writers on the planet. matched

And I look at what they do. matched

And I look at what happens when I sit down to write out an idea. matched

And I'm like, huh. matched

These things are very different from each other. matched
