Where did it start?
So back before breathing apparatus, it used to be, you know, wood and actual like cotton products that would burn, not fucking petroleum.
So they would just literally have these long mustaches and beards and they'd dip it in water, kind of fold it up with a handkerchief and go in and fight fire.
You gotta earn it, you know, once you do.
But the thing is, as it gets more curly, it's rank-driven.
So people know if you've got the curls, you're in charge.
Not really, but pretty close to.
