So, in fact, Maurice, early on, even at age 16, they're showing him pictures of the victims to try to get him to confess.

And has the city of Austin or has the APD, the Austin Police Department, promised to end some of these practices or are you working towards that?

I know this is not part of this settlement with the city, but I have to ask as a reporter, is there some changes you'd like to see in what we do, what I do?

I have to say, Kimberly, I also think that if this had happened today, there would have been cameras in the yogurt shop and cameras outside and this might not have happened.

But what your family went through

It just should not happen to anyone.

I feel like I want to leave it with the two of you describing how do you want us to see Maurice Pierce?

You stood by him all those years.
