We know that this T-shirt was used in these murders.
Why don't we know who was wearing it?
The lab was unable to find even one full DNA profile anywhere on the tan T-shirts.

It was much the same story for most of the other evidence.
They had better luck with that orange towel, the one believed to have been taken from the Ryan home.
A full DNA profile was found on the towel.
Barlow says the profile doesn't match Cooper or any of the victims, but it also doesn't match Lee Furrow.
It was uploaded into CODIS, a national database of known offenders.
But again, there was no match.
To be honest, this is a towel inside a family home.
It could be a full profile of somebody who was visiting the Ryans.
It could be all sorts of people.
All of that blood had to go somewhere.
There was one unexpected and disturbing discovery made during the testing.
You look at all of these blood vials, and they all have a substantial amount of blood in them.
But the vial that has contained Kevin Cooper's blood since he was arrested in 1983
is empty.
