It's going to be frustrating for a lot of fans to see potentially Valenzuela go down while he's producing above average offense with that taste of power that the team has been lacking.
And Heinemann is doing absolutely nothing offensively.
It's difficult.
At the same time, kind of counterintuitively.
what valenzuela is showing them right now might also make them feel even more emboldened to send him down in that they will want him to get at bats like if kirk comes back there's not a lot of playing time for valenzuela and they might actually be intrigued by what they're seeing and say actually this is a player that we need to develop more and see just what heights this guy can reach
And that won't really happen playing, you know, one game, two games a week with Kirk getting the vast majority of the playing time.
And they don't have a DH thing to play with.
So you're not going to see that, you know, Kirk Jansen thing we saw in the past.
And that'd be getting ahead of ourselves saying, all right, those guys beat DH.
But I'm just saying that they don't.
they don't have those type of options.
So Valenzuela will not play much when Kirk comes back.
It's still possible.
As he's mentioned, the team is fighting for every win, is in a difficult spot competitively, and may just get to a point where they say, who are our best players?
This season matters.
We need to do it that way.
But the pinango move that just happened
