My husband and I got married in 2017.
My dad told us he planned to pay for our wedding, but two weeks before the big day when all the final payments were due, he changed his mind, forcing my now husband and I to max out every credit card we had at the time.
Can you imagine?
Like, oh my goodness.
Okay.
After our credit bounced back enough,
We had a consolidation loan, but still struggled to make the monthly payments.
In 2021, we found YNAB and we were able to finally create a plan to pay it off without having to constantly refinance for a lower payment again, which we had to do a few times, I hate to admit.
Fast forward to today, February 2026, because I know by the time you read this on the show, it'll be 2030.
It's only one month away.
We were reading it, Jenna.
We did it.
And we have finally paid it off.
We still have a long way to go in our debt pay down journey, but by using the anger method that you talked about on the show, oh man, I like it.
That gives new meaning to the anger method, right?
