We started with very little money.

And then, you know, we made a little movie, and then BET sort of added some and made a first season, and then we kind of, and I think it's gotten a lot better.

The actors have really grown so much, and it's a great show.

I'm bringing in a lot of friends, people that I know work on the show.

Not the first movie I got, but the first movie I got when I moved to Hollywood was a man from Atlantis.

And I had a little partner.

He was the big star.

He was the star of the show.

So that was, I don't know, 50 years ago or something.

It's great for me to have him on the show and to kind of see that circle.

But now I do a show called Boston Blue where I'm the patriarch, but I'm a Baptist pastor.

But it's also family.

And family has been the most fascinating thing for me.

And I love being able to kind of explore it in these different roles.

Like I said, growing up without a dad and not knowing my mom.

She died when I was three months old.

But I had my grandmother.
