Ethan Badowski

I don't know the man personally.

I do know the guy who asked the question.

And his name is Steve Simmons.

And, you know, probably not familiar to a lot of people in the States.

And I knew him, but I checked with some of my Canadian media type friends.

And he is the preeminent columnist.

I was told top two sports columnists in the entire country for the last, let's say, 25 years.

So I grew up in New York.

You know, that was always sort of a Mike Lupica thing.

There's always, every city usually has, you know, a lead sports columnist, right?

You know, Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy in Boston, that kind of thing.

But this is the entire country.

So I know he's done the work.

He's done the research.

It's not like a kid out of high school started blogging and looking for clicks and trying to take over a press conference and go viral.

That's not the case here.

So this guy is respected.

He did the work.

And he asked the question that I'm not sure how many other people would have asked in that setting.

So everybody was thinking it, but he asked it.
