When I was touring the mill with Lucian, the thing that stuck with me was that mural he showed me, a boat full of puppies.
The developer's plan is to clear the space until it's empty, and some trucks will roll up, servers will be plugged in, and the building will start humming.
If all goes well with the plan to turn this mill into a data center, that mural will be a sort of cave painting one day.
Maybe some AI-powered robot will roll past and wonder what possible efficiency might have been gained by painting a boat full of puppies on a wall in a workplace.

That's a shock that's hard to measure in a town of about 5,000.

When Trevor's out campaigning, when people open their doors to talk to him, what he sees worries him.
The town itself is now the second largest employer in Jay, behind the school district.
The third largest is Hannaford, a grocery store.
Maine has the oldest population in the country,
Jay is older than the average in Maine.
Like a lot of the services for the elderly, it's like the elderly are the ones providing the services for other elderly people.
This, then, was my best theory as to why Jay fought for its data center.
