Kind of playing off of that, my spicy take is

Developers need to go where they're wanted.

Forcing a fit is a bad decision in any industry you've ever been in.

You need to go to communities that have power or can get power and that want you there and are going to be thrilled to have you there.

And yeah, you're going to spend a couple extra shekels to go build a substation or go build transmission lines, but go where you're wanted.

And then on the flip side, communities need to engage in good faith.

Let's be real.

You need something there.

Something's going to get developed.

You need jobs.

You need a tax base.

This is part of the future.

At some point, you're going to be the town that the highway got built through or the town that the highway skipped.
