That's not small.
Yes.
A lot of power in today's market.
that small and so we're seeing this extreme other end emerge where it's small and fast where someone says I got 20 or 30 or 50 or maybe 80 megawatts and you know it's not a gigawatt but I can get it stood up in 18 months and I can get that pre-leased much easier insured much easier and I can build my little kingdom 50 megawatts at a time and get to a gigawatt faster that way or I can take advantage of what the utility actually has available yeah right like if you're sitting there saying oh well I need 500 megawatts yeah okay cool well
That's something we'll talk about a little farther on, but it's this idea of getting on the field, of getting that first banner, that first logo, proving that you can turn on megawatts.
So I definitely want to come back to that.
But the natural consequence of this gap that's emerging between very big and very fast is that the middle, I'll say the middle class, the middle scale, is getting left behind.
I don't think we've seen a project in a long time that I would consider somewhere between 40 or 50 megawatts and a gigawatt.
You see a few in that 200 to 300 megawatt range, but no one's aiming their portfolio at that.
They're aiming at chunks of 40 or 50 at a time, or they're aiming at screw it, half gig chunk or bust.
I don't think we're seeing a lot of space in the middle there.
And it makes sense from an offtaker perspective.
Yeah.
You either want to run the risk and have the giant success at the end, or you want to get stuff turned on right now that I can use as I gobble up more developers' portfolios to get to where I need to be.
So I think that frames the market well, and I think that frames our first recommendation well, is if you were starting the company today and you wanted to enter the market, you should go really big or you should go really fast.
To do that, you've got to have deep, deep partnerships.
And people talk about partnership a lot.
It's probably one of the most abused terms in any industry.
But what I mean by that is you're borrowing know-how.
You have the SMEs on hand who are co-invested in your success, whether that's a supplier, an advisor, owner, whatever it is, to where you can stay up to date on the best and brightest and most important decisions happening at any given time.
