It's easy to sit here and say, well, if AI factories don't need as much redundancy, then you can scale down production on some of these things. matched

There's some scarcity. matched

That's the easy one to pick out. matched

The more interesting one to pick out, because I always like to follow the money, is you see the equipment cost falling out. matched

You see equipment costs dropping from, what, 3.5 million a megawatt, something like that. matched

You can see a million, million and a half a megawatt fall off of that just for taking out redundancy. matched

But then that increases demand on other constrained equipment, on chillers and CDUs and even just copper. matched

It increases demand on these other sectors or these other segments that weren't anticipating that at all. matched

And suddenly you've got a chiller shortage because the next couple gigawatts of AF factory don't need generators. matched

And you're sitting there scratching your head saying, how do I plan for that? matched

The redundancy shift is interesting. matched

I think a framework to start with of how to think about this is first always understanding what's your intent versus chasing the market and chasing the trends and chasing whatever someone's saying on LinkedIn or maybe on a podcast as they drink coffee is what is your intent? matched

What are you trying to fundamentally achieve with what your team, your portfolio, your design team is trying to do? matched
