I have had 25 years of running around since I was in my teens working that out.
And it's really weird because none of that this year, I'm now 21 years out of school.
So, I've had lots of time to work that through.
So, when you're reading, when you're doing your thought process, it's about going, okay, that's an interesting idea.
That's an interesting idea.
Would that work for me?
Yes, no.
Some of that might, that might not.
I like this idea.
I don't like that idea.
And as soon as you have that mindset, you can then open yourself up to lots of things.
So I know you guys talk to a lot of guys in the FIRE community.
I know you guys talk to a lot of people in the active management community, the passive management community.
In my view, all of that is actually really, really useful because the FIRE community, removing the RE bits, the retire early, the financial independence part is pretty much standard across the board.
Everybody's trying to achieve that.
It's sort of part and parcel of what you're here to do.
For sure.
It's also about recognizing what I love with them is that a lot of people are actually probably financially independent already.
They just don't realize it, and that's why I love FIRE.
Active management, the reason I love active management is that was my background, and it's your background too, and you two still do it.
