So yeah, I was really just primed and ready.
So that was 1985 holiday season.
I would just, let's go, Joe.
By 1986, they hit on something else.
And plus also, the other thing too that I had that you didn't have was the cartoon that not only like...
So, like, one of the things that they did was take a poll of people in the test market who had bought the Nintendo.
blew up the backstories.
And I think, like, the vast majority of them said that Rob, the robot, was the reason they had bought the whole system.
Because this new wave of G.I.
Joe, when they released it, each character now had its own name, and it wasn't Rocky or Rocky.
Yeah.
to get that robot.
That's how well that marketing ploy worked.
It was things like Duke or Shipwreck or Blowtorch or Barbecue or Dusty.
So Rob had kind of served his purpose, though.
Everyone knew he was slow.
They weren't releasing more games for them.
So they came up with, originally, the way you bought Nintendo, it was the Nintendo Entertainment System console, two controllers, the Zapper gun, Rob the robot, and all of Rob the robot's accessories, and then two games, one of which was Gyromite, that game you play with Rob.
And then the bad guys had their own names, too, like Cobra Command or Serpentor or
Tomax or Zaymot or the whole gang, right?
