It might have been better for Judith if she had been left out of James Forsyth's biography.
He talks of her being always on duty in the dim stalls, keeping her brilliant and handsome husband supplied with cigarettes and refreshments from the picnic bag.
But James Nyland says that she was in the stalls to be consulted, not just to be handing out bread.
He believed that their relationship was one of equal respect and that while they were indeed eating the sandwiches, Tyrone ran the day's work past her and relied heavily on these consultations during rehearsals of the numerous works he directed.
