Obviously, everyone's saying, oh, SaaS is basically dead, terminal value concerns, all those things.
But when you think about all the most popular business models and the most popular businesses that are getting funded right now, there's no precedence on public markets of an AI app company.
We don't know what an AI app company will trade at.
We don't know if it'll trade much better than SaaS, moderately better than SaaS, or the same as SaaS.
We don't really know how a space company, with the exception of SpaceX, which is an exception, not the rule, we don't know how a space company will trade.
That's true.
And less on launch.
I more mean like, you know, satellite companies.
Sure, sure.
Or like, and yes, you could say the same thing about like, yeah, with Anduril, there's obviously a lot of primes.
But like, God, I hope it doesn't trade like that.
Much more like Palantir.
That's the thing where it's like.
a lot of the things that people have been investing in either don't have precedence, they have something about them, like lower gross margins or capital intensity that's scary, or the incumbents trade really poorly.
And so you're like, well, this is kind of like when Affirm went out, I think in 2020.
No one knew if it would trade like a bank or like a payments company.
And it sort of traded as a hybrid of the two.
But no one really knew how to think about the company for a few quarters until it was public.
So I think lower multiples, mostly because people are just discounting because they don't really know how these things are going to trade.
