But the beautiful thing is that I always refer the families that are on my wait list to other clinicians in the area.
Because what's more important to me is making sure that these families have found somebody that's giving their child the therapeutic intervention that they so desperately need.
So make your success what you want to make of it.

Private practice gives you the freedom to attain whatever you choose to financially.
There's no cap on how much you can earn.

Just in a school, you would sign a contract or in another private practice or another setting, you would say, okay, my salary is going to be X number.
But the wonderful thing is in private practice, you can achieve more financial freedom than anything.
And as a private pay clinician, I've had wonderful successes and am able to achieve more financial freedom than I've ever had.

But you have to understand that in order for you to help somebody else, you need to be able to know that you are valuable enough
to charge your rate because you did go to graduate school.
You do put in the work in continuing education.
