Plaid Cymru are trying to bring in independence by stealth.

The Liberal Democrats are saying, you know, they wouldn't cooperate with any party that spent a penny of public money on trying to further independence.

And Welsh Labour also having a go on the independence issue, as are the Welsh Conservatives.

say look we are a pro-independence party we have no plans to try to bring about a referendum in this term of the Senedd if we find ourselves in government the Greens taking a very similar position there but the question is who would Plaid Cymru have to work with in the event that they were either the largest party or the party that ended up trying to form a government

if reform was the largest party and failed to get a First Minister elected?

And I think that's the really big question for Wales, because it may well be, particularly given some of the polling we've seen this week, that Plaid Cymru would not simply be able to just rely on the Greens to get them over the threshold and then you'd have two pro-independence parties in government.

If they have to work with some of the other parties, particularly Welsh Labour, and that is another can of worms that we can talk about another time if that is the case,

So it's hard to see how that smaller either coalition partner or confidence and supply partner or whatever it might be, would be willing to work alongside what they might perceive as an independence agenda.
