Yeah, it's a big day.
Ten years, it's kind of surreal.
And I think what's funny is I think back now with a rational mind to then with an irrational mind.
And it's... Yeah, I've been doing a lot of thought in the training, been ruminating on it a lot over the past three months because, I mean, you'll know, big endurance projects like this require a lot of time just doing the work in your own head.
And it's been a very positive experience for me personally, but it has been challenging sort of trying to unpack...
how I want to have an impact on this.
And in simple terms, I want this project to be something that if a 20 year old version of me had seen, I would have engaged in and it would have had a positive impact.
So that's how I'm trying to model the messaging, the narrative and the presentation of it.
Because when I was younger,
for whatever reason, I'd never had my dad tell me this is what a man is or anything like that, but I had a very binary definition of success and what it meant to be a man and feeling like I was failing those definitions nearly killed me.
How did you try to take your life?
So, a whole load of pills from a local drug dealer in Newcastle at the time and alcohol that I kind of guessed a dose based on internet searching and the dose wasn't high enough.
