I think Stuart Townsend was there, I think it was the day before principal photography started.

So like they're very close at this stage.

He had said at the time I was there rehearsing, training for two months, then was fired the day before filming began.

He kind of doesn't really have a good takeaway from it all.

I know Viggo Mortensen met him since and said, you know,

he didn't inquire about it too much and he said that he said hi and he felt bad and he felt awkward everything else but it's it's difficult because you know Stuart Townsend was also like 20 years younger than Viggo Mortensen was like in his 40s when he took on that role so you can imagine for Stuart Townsend to be like well what did you actually want from this character this is a completely different actor you know what I mean but you also I can't imagine anyone else being Aragorn now even though Jamie Dornan is now taking over the role for the next year for the next film that's being directed by Andy Serkis so yeah
