I thought it was rather interesting that the former chief of staff of Obama, who is aspiring to be one of several Democratic presidential candidates, went all the way to Tel Aviv to give a speech criticizing Israel.

Now, of course, he's also Jewish, and it's quite significant that someone of his stature would go to Israel and be critical of Israel.

Again, these are things that would have been unthinkable perhaps even a year, two, three years ago.

Yeah, I mean, I think you raise a really interesting point.

And again, I go back to October 7th and reflect on the fact that this was considered a major failure from the Israeli security apparatus.

And some observers thought that that was the end of Netanyahu, who is essentially being one of the great survivors of politics.

You can say or think what you will of him, but he's essentially...

He dominated the scene for so long and sort of has always wanted to have this war in Iran and had very strong views, has repeatedly tried to sort of convince various presidents to go down this route.

And at the time, post-October 7th, he didn't in fact go.

He became stronger.

And Israeli society itself also changed given what happened, and it became more radicalized in some ways.

And, of course, the demise of the two-state solution seen as, you know, the two-state solution,

idea, concept that was for so long what we thought would happen, you know, was essentially sort of killed off.

And only now, post-Iran, are we seeing the question of Netanyahu's own survival at stake.

Of course, he's facing elections.

It's the end of October.

And for the first time ever, it does look like, in fact, now he has serious competition and he might not win.

And the way he's sort of tackling that is obviously not going becoming more moderate, but tacking a little bit more to the to the far right and essentially glomming on to the parties that he thinks can can help sort him up.

So his own political sort of survival is at stake.

Again, a consequence that would have been unthinkable given just what an outsized character he has been in Israel.
