This is probably a coincidence, but in 2009, they draft Josh Freeman from Kansas state where he was the defensive coordinator and
It's very interesting.
It's very frustrating.
But also just his past in general, like how odd that he shows up to Arizona State as linebacker coach slash recruiter in 2018 and 19.
Then he's the assistant head coach in 2021 and 2020 and recruiter again.
So me personally, it's just strange in general how he goes.
He just shows up.
He's the linebackers coach for two years.
And then he's the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.
Like he just he just blew up the charts.
Well, that was a Herm Edwards.
Yeah, I don't know that he's really doing all the right things.
Yeah, I completely agree.
I like that he did kind of bring in some senior guys to help him run things.
When you watch him on the sidelines, it seemed very much like he was giving... It seemed, I can only say it from the outside, seemed like he was doing a lot of the work within the week to get...
the other coaches to do their job and he can just focus on managing the game and they go in with a game plan and they just he just lets his coaches coach he runs the game and that's how it goes and it worked it worked to success and i i think that there is definitely a head coach in him um but i don't think that he did this stuff to convince me since then that it's it's time for him to take over the reins of a disaster situation that the giants sort of have where you have to be an embarrassing hire
You'd have to build everything from the bottom up, and I don't think he's that guy.
Yeah, I mean, it's certainly possible that he's a good head coach and he's a good motivator of men and maybe he just doesn't get it done on defense.
Like maybe he's a hands-off head coach and he hires someone to run a defense because he does run a very diverse defense.
It's just that it's never a strong one.
