I mean, you get a lot.

Everyone listening or watching gets a lot.

And I think that kind of

radical detachment, which is a very Jesuit way of looking at it.

Like, you know, water off a duck's back that you don't sort of, you listen to it, as he said, which I thought was very wise.

You listen to it, you pay attention, but you don't let it kind of make a claim on you, which is what I heard him saying, which was super helpful.

Yeah, right.

And then you get greedier, I think, you know, for more and more praise.

It's never enough.

In another episode, I think I quoted Thomas Merton, who also said, the humble person realizes that it all goes back to God.

And so praise, you know, doesn't disturb that person because it's not really ultimately about you.

It's about God's gifts for you and through you.

So I found that really clarifying and, you know, just a personal bit of advice.

What stood out for you in that standout interview?

Yeah, even in the most difficult circumstances.

I mean, when he was talking about, you know, people coming in and being violent, I mean, most of our lives, you know, aren't that violent.

And that he's able to, you know, just continue to love in that situation is really, it's such a, yeah, it's such a goal for so many people.

No, I love that.

Very realistic and very gospel oriented.
