His number one attribute is mercy.
And that there's no sin that he can't forgive.
But more importantly, he wants me to go after the heart of hearts.
He wants me to be the Jonah going through Nineveh, walking through the cities of the world, preaching repentance and forgiveness and preparation for what is coming.
And so I promised him that...
I would not only do His will, but try to do it with His help well.
I wanted to be... I believe that the marriage and the vocation of a priest is like a spousal union with God.
We take away gender, you take away all that stuff that the world has reversed.
And it's such a spousal union with the church and with God itself.
That I believe that he needs people not to look away in the church, look away from the challenges and lean right in to the issues and the difficulties to speak the truth.
But most importantly, I want him to be proud of his son.
I want to be one of those men
that he's always wanted in the world of creation, the world of human nature, that he can truly say, I'm proud of him.
And so that's what drives me.
That's been driving me ever since my conversion day is because I've sinned so much and I understand his mercy so deeply and greatly
That it calibrated me so differently that now I want to do everything so he's happy and gratified and glorified.
And his number one attribute, as she says, is mercy.
Because you think about it.
If someone has upset, like for instance, just a man and a woman in their marriage relationship, say it went awry and one of the spouses was the cause of that.
When they have compassion and love for the other and they forgive them from the bottom of their heart and they want to move forward with the gift of grace from God,
