So you're expelled from this school and you find yourself in New York.
First, I was sent to live with my mother's sister, which was a real punishment, believe me.
And my mother's sister was married to a German IBM engineer.
And they have four children.
And the idea was that would whip me into shape.
So I went there, did that with me in shape.
The second I was 18, I left.
I came to New York.
Yes, I had many, many jobs because I came to New York.
I didn't have any money.
I didn't have any degrees, including a high school diploma.
I got an equivalency diploma, which is a useless document.
I didn't know how to type.
And that was the big thing.
I just did any kind of job you could imagine.
I cleaned houses.
I drove a cab.
I was a private driver.
