This is what the people in my industry have done.

And I have to wear it.

So I need to set my example of doing things the right way, being honest, having integrity, you know, doing things by a journalistic code.

And that's important.

And that's all I can do is try to lead by example.

But I have to wear it.

And I can't get pissed every time someone comes up to me and goes, well, you talk radio, guys.

All you want to do is you just want to start some crap and you want them to lose.

You go out there and talk crap.

There's lots and lots of people in my business that do that.

I don't get to just be like, well, it's not fair to me.

Well, that's college athletics.

It's been half-assed and corrupt and all about oneself predominantly.

And now guys who I genuinely think Gene Taylor has tried to do things the right way his entire career, and now he's outraged.

I'm sorry.

You're one of them.

Just like I'm stuck being one of the bad talk radio guys.

I have to wear that stench when I do certain things.

Well, guess what?
