I thought Connor McDavid's words were prescient.
accurate uh he seemed to actually be resigned to this fact how was anyone expecting a different result based on where this team was at at this moment in time and i thought it was it was fair and what it's done is it has put everyone on notice he has
taken his share of responsibility also including himself and leon dry settle did this as well which is true leadership saying we also need to be better it starts with us we're the players but i don't know how you could look at any of the last handful of seasons and say that one this team has improved and two that
There haven't been a whole truckload of mistakes that have happened around them to put this Oiler team in a position where they might actually get through this entire window of Connor McDavid in his prime and not have a true Stanley Cup banner to show for it.
And Wednesday 7 to 8, tomorrow 7 to 8.

I'm doing all right.
How are you guys doing?
They did because he was so easy to connect with.
He was such a warm person.
And I think as I've reflected over the last day plus of the news of his passing, the first word that comes to mind is just that Cheech was a treasure.
And, you know, that ability to talk to people, to connect with, it came through not just in everyone's home watching, whether you were in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, or
any one of the national broadcasts, but also whether you're in the rink.
I found my, you know, you guys aren't going to be shocked by this, but one of the things I enjoyed most was any time food came up on the conversation on the broadcast, hot dogs, ketchup, whatever it was, it just felt like the everyman show where, you know, you could be entertained.
And I really appreciated that and also appreciated just how welcoming you was any time you came to Vancouver.
