It's an important department because anyone can draft good players.
All these teams, in theory, have drafted good players in the first round.
It's what do you do when they get into your organization that is the separator and the difference maker for a lot of these teams.
And you don't need to have... The Leafs are an example of a team.
They had at prospect camps and development camps...
There's more coaches than players sometimes.
That doesn't mean that guys are going to turn out.
What you need to have is just...
build like a plan for these guys, be willing to adapt when their situations change or their games change or whatever, you know, happens along the way and put in the time to like really get to know the guys, like on a personal level, because that's how you can make your biggest gain.
So I don't think it has to be a super robust department.
It just has to be good.
And the guys have to understand who they're working with
As far as bringing in Alex Edler, I think that's a really smart... Like, really smart.
Like, he is...
He was such an impressive guy to watch on a daily basis.
I remember I was up one time, this was the torts year.
I was up and I was kind of waiting for him to come back off the IR and then he was gonna get activated and I was gonna get sent down.
Cause that's kind of the way the team worked that year.
Like there wasn't a lot of extras hanging around and he comes back into this practice and it was like his first full contact practice.
